Delivering a sustainable future

hub South West Events

Kier smallerhub South West is committed to positively engaging with the locally based supply chain, with a view to helping them improve their chances of gaining hub contracts. By doing this, it is anticipated that more of the circa £500m construction spend over the next 5 years will result in contracts for local companies and jobs for local people.

Our workshops and events are open to all members and aspiring members of hub South West’s Territory Supplier Network and are designed to build skills and create meaningful networking opportunities (with hub SW, Tier 1 contractors, presenters and other delegates) for those attending.

If you would like to attend, please complete the simple booking form and we will get back to you.

September hub Club - Hidden Gems (matching supported businesses with contractors operating in the construction sector)

From September 24, 14:00 until September 24, 16:30

This month’s hub Club is being run jointly with hub West Scotland, and will focus on matching supported businesses with contractors operating in the construction sector. You are invited to join us on the day which will involve 10 organisations which have potential to sell their products and services into the construction sector, with a trade exhibition (supported businesses exhibiting) and speed networking.

The event will be held at The Royal Strathclyde Blindcraft Industries, (RSBi) is a supported employment facility that manufactures a wide range of products including kitchens, office and educational furniture, beds, soft furnishings, timber building kits and metal products, as well as offering a complete furnished accommodation and storage solution ... RSBi is wholly owned by Glasgow City Council and is part of the newly formed City Building (Glasgow) LLP, (Limited Liability Partnership)

There are a number of such organisations throughout Scotland providing much needed support and employment for local people, and we are using this hub Club meeting to showcase each of them trading with the construction sector and looking for further trading partners.  We aim to have a good attendance fo hub South West and hub West Tier 1 Contractors and M+E Contractors.
