Delivering a sustainable future

hub South West Events

Kier smallerhub South West is committed to positively engaging with the locally based supply chain, with a view to helping them improve their chances of gaining hub contracts. By doing this, it is anticipated that more of the circa £500m construction spend over the next 5 years will result in contracts for local companies and jobs for local people.

Our workshops and events are open to all members and aspiring members of hub South West’s Territory Supplier Network and are designed to build skills and create meaningful networking opportunities (with hub SW, Tier 1 contractors, presenters and other delegates) for those attending.

If you would like to attend, please complete the simple booking form and we will get back to you.

Building for Growth – Information Day being held in the Henry Duncan Building of Dumfries and Galloway College

Hub South West runs a development programme aimed at ambitious companies in construction and related sectors which are based in Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway. It runs over 8 half-day sessions (10-2) over a period of 12 weeks.

It is open to any business looking to grow in a sustainable manner by building the skills and internal capacity to take on increasing volumes of business. A golden rule of the programme is ‘no competitors’, leaving you free to discuss any business issues, challenges and opportunities in a safe and supportive environment with a like-minded group of business people.

Programme 8 will start on Thursday the 22nd March 2018. Companies participating in the programme will get the following benefits:

  1. The opportunity to learn from experts in their fields.
  2. Real progress through action planning and ongoing support to build capability and expertise in key business development areas such as people management, IT, tendering and marketing.
  3. Ability to build relationships with hub’s Tier 1 Contractors who meet delegates and pass on their expertise as various stages in the programme.
  4. Last but not least by any means, the opportunity to meet like-minded business people and form lasting bonds and informal support networks.

We are looking for up 8-10 companies to take part in the programme, with up to 2 delegates from each company.
