hub South West is committed to positively engaging with the locally based supply chain, with a view to helping them improve their chances of gaining hub contracts. By doing this, it is anticipated that more of the circa £500m construction spend over the next 5 years will result in contracts for local companies and jobs for local people.
Our workshops and events are open to all members and aspiring members of hub South West’s Territory Supplier Network and are designed to build skills and create meaningful networking opportunities (with hub SW, Tier 1 contractors, presenters and other delegates) for those attending.

hub South West: Dumfries Meet the Buyer and Supplier Showcase
hub South West and its Tier 1 Contractors are holding their 4th annual Dumfries Meet the Buyer and Supplier Showcase on the morning of Friday 13th September. The event will take the format of a trade exhibition with procurement and property opportunities, learning and information sessions, and numerous networking opportunities. Suppliers and potential suppliers are invited to attend either as delegates or as stand-holders. A similar event last year attracted over 120 delegates and stand-holders.
hub South West is currently engaged in a number of major construction projects (c£300m) in the South West territory which includes Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway.
One of our hub's Performance Indicators commits us to afford 65% of contract opportunities to local businesses, enabling as much as possible of the construction spend to remain in the South West area, boosting the construction sector and providing jobs for local resident. We are therefore extremely keen to learn more about our local supply chain members and their capabilities.
