Our children are so happy with their new learning environments, and it is a joy to see them happily engaging in their creative play within it and in their wonderful outdoor space too. It’s a wonderful facility and I’ve had so many positive comments from the wider community – everyone is really proud of it.

Morgan Sindall were appointed to build eight early years nurseries by North Lanarkshire Council and its development partner hub South West Scotland to provide early learning and childcare centres for babies and children aged up to 5 years old.
The new Family Learning Centres were: Netherton, Wishaw | Innerleithen, Coltness | Cumbernauld Village | Petersburn, Airdrie | Calderview, Chapelhall | Broomlands, Cumbernauld | Abernethyn, Newmains | Forgewood, Motherwell
Designs for all of the new builds included the use of eco-friendly construction materials, with the main buildings being made from timber; a quick-to-build insulating material which reduces heating loss and associated energy requirements. Solar panels were also installed to the roofs.
