Why Hub South West Scotland?
Hub South West Scotland is one of five private/public partnership hub companies (hubcos) set up by the Scottish Futures Trust (SFT). The SFT is a national centre of expertise established by the Scottish Government in 2008 to work with the public and private sector in developing and delivering community infrastructure projects.
Hub South West is a development partner working with public sector organisations to design and construct community facilities in Ayrshire, Lanarkshire and Dumfries and Galloway.
Hub South West has a proven track record of delivering value for money, high quality and sustainable projects that are tendered as to generate local jobs, local apprenticeships and recirculate project spend across the South West of Scotland.
Jointly owned by the Scottish Government, public sector participants and private sector organisations, hub South West has delivered over £930 million of projects across the South West of Scotland to date.
Every project has a strong focus on creating local employment and skills opportunities, recirculating project spend locally and delivering a range of programmes that develop local companies to win work, such as the regional Build SME engagement programmes.
