What we do
Our job is to collaborate with our public sector participants to help them procure, develop and deliver their built environment more effectively. To date we have delivered over £650m of schools, over 1000 houses, won multiple industry awards and have reached contract close on over £1 billion of projects. We structure our business around partnership working and enable this via our key goals:

Hub South West Scotland is the development partner of choice for public sector participants. We exist for the benefit of our participants. We are a fully compliant public sector procurement mechanism and specialise in managing the procurement and tender process on behalf of our public sector participants whilst ensuring they are key in this process.
We engage and manage consultants, contractors and specialist supply chain members, managing the design and construction process. We are active in developing and encouraging local SME project involvement, creating local employment and skills opportunities. Combining programme oversight, guidance, assurance and direction while promoting best practice, ensuring the delivery of the right projects in the right locations in the right way and at the right price to benefit the local community.
We were set up by the Scottish Government and our public sector participants over a decade ago with the vision of creating a joined-up approach in procuring and delivering public sector projects creating local jobs, local apprenticeships and recirculating spend from the projects we deliver back into the local economy. All whilst delivering value for money, high quality and sustainable projects invested in a longterm continuous improvement model that recirculates lessons learnt and best practice and works with participants to deliver solutions to their wider strategic objectives.
The hub Programme operates across Scotland in five territories, where public bodies (local authorities, NHS Boards, blue light services etc) in each of those areas have come together and appointed a private sector development partner to form a joint venture company, known as a hub Company, to deliver projects.
