Building for Growth- Autumn 2015 Awards
Hub South West would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended our Building for Growth-Autumn 2015 Awards Event on the 26th November, at the Corinthian, Glasgow.
Our company development programme is aimed at ambitious, local businesses in construction and related sectors, and is delivered in 10 modules over 7 sessions. Ten companies from Ayrshire and Lanarkshire participated this time, each looking to grow their business in a sustainable manner, with a focus towards building their capacity to take on increasing volumes of business. The programme modules included "writing winning tenders", "building the sales pipeline", "marketing and communications" and "pitching for business", giving delegates the opportunity to learn from experts, discuss business issues, build relationships with hub South Wests' Tier-1 Contractors and look at longer term development.
Participants included Munro Architects, Allan & Hanel, Avesta, Ceiba Renewables, Deko Scotland, McEwan Osbourne, PFP2000, Platinum Property Managment, Thermocool and Ve-tech concrete and congratulations goes to all for successfully completing the programme. The Awards event celebrated this achievement and gave all aforementioned companies the chance to present to all attendees, includung representatives from hub South Wests' Tier-1 Contractors. The level of enthusiasm and participation from our delegates during this programme has been fantastic, with all types of businesses, both experienced and newer companies, being involved. Whether our delegates wanted to "wipe away the cobwebs" and get with the times or felt that the business was "running them instead of the other way around", the variety of modules included in the Building for Growth Scheme allows them to utilise new resources, discover new aspects of the business to focus on and to devise an effective and direct plan of action.
hub South West would like to thank all the facilitators who conducted these sessions and our Tier-1 Contractors for accommodating them.
