The programme started with a bang on Thursday 5^th March, with 15 delegates from 11 Dumfries and Galloway based companies attending the opening session.

Building for Growth is a business development programme run over 8 weekly sessions aiming to support businesses build capacity to grow further, and to assist them in engaging with hub South West and its Tier 1 contractors as it builds 7 schools in the local area over the next 4-5 years.

The programme includes modules on Business Strategy, Leadership and Team Building, Accreditations, Marketing Communications, Building the Sales Pipeline, Winning Tenders, Pitching for Business and culminates in an Awards event when the delegate companies can pitch their business to an audience of hub staff, Tier 1 Contractors, M&E Contractors, Dumfries and Galloway Council and each other, celebrating the end of the programme.

Companies attending are Derek Mitchell Electrical, Landlab, MCL Molplant, Lowland Training, John Gibson and Son, Robert Potter and Partners, J G Finlay Ltd, Fair Secure, Paterson Landscapes and Eco-insulate, all excellent companies with the desire and ability to grow their businesses.
