Working in Partnership 10th June 2015
hub South West would like to extend a huge Thank You to all our Participants, Tier 1 Contractors, Supply Chain Members and Wider Collaborators who attended our Working in Partnership day on Wednesday 10th of June.
The Event, held in Rutherglen Town Hall, aimed to provide an update of hub South Wests' position and progress within the territory and invited those who have worked in collaboration with hub South West over our first few years of opperation, to offer some insight and feedback into how our business is progressing.
We were overwhelmed by the support and commitment of all of those in attendance, and were eager to listen to fresh and constructive ideas on ways in which we can continue to grow and benefit our communities across the South West of Scotland.
Guest Speakers John Macdonald of Graham Construction and Laurence Cree of North Ayrshire Council, highlighted the flexibility of hub as a procurement vehicle and dicussed how hub South West, along with our wider community, can continue to grow, adapt and change, and produce excellent results. Speakers also included Irene Lang of CITB, who has worked extensively with our Skills Academy Team at various events and training sessions across South West Scotland, and Fran McCartney of Asbestos Building Supplies, who commended hub South Wests Community benefits Scheme, having had a successful first hand experience of our Building for growth programme.
It was refreshing to engage with a wide array of contributers to the hub South West Community and debate innovative and sustainable solutions for the progression and development of the business. hub South West has enjoyed a busy and prosperous first two years of operation, and moving forward, with the energy and commitment of our collaborators we hope to enjoy further growth and success.
