Dunscore Primary School pupils got a pleasant surprise when Assistant Project Manager, Stefan Stankiewicz, from Ashleigh  turned up at their Christmas assembly to present the Ashleigh Environmental Awareness Award.

There were three very pleased pupils at Dalbeattie Primary when they received vouchers from hub South West's Audrey Christie for their super entries in a competition to design a poster in connection with the construction of a new clinic in Dalbeattie. 

On 10th July, Health Minister Alex Neil attended the turf cutting for Dalbeattie Primary Care Centre.

Local contractor Ashleigh has been selected as the preferred construction partner for this project plus another Primary Care Centre in nearby Dunscore. These new care centres present a significant improvement in facilities for the communities.

Over £600m of public sector infrastructure is to be delivered in the South-West of Scotland in next ten years following the formation of a joint venture company – ‘hub South-West Scotland Ltd’ – with the Programme Board of the South-West hub Territory, comprising 16 public bodies* and Alliance Community Partnerships* (ACP).
