Communities have given their seal of approval to the new Ayr Academy. South Ayrshire Council hosted the building’s official opening on Monday 2 October, with young people and parents among the 180 guests on the night.

The development of the new Largs Campus reached a major milestone on Monday 18th September and the ‘Topping Out’ ceremony was a very special occasion for two local families who will now be in with the bricks at the new facility.

A sod cutting ceremony has marked the start of construction work at the £37M Cumbernauld Academy and Cumbernauld Theatre Campus. 

The brand new £25M Ayr Academy has been successfully handed over on time and on budget to South Ayrshire Council.
